What are the dimensions of the Wide Angle Signal® Mirror?
The Wide Angle Signal® Mirror is 3" in diameter.

Are there any vehicles that shouldn't use the Wide Angle Signal® Mirror?
This kit is universal and will work on most vehicles with the exception of vehicles with multiplex wiring, high-end vehicles, and vehicles that have side air bags located in the door. If you're not sure, contact your dealer.

Can I add the MultiFunction Module or Brake Module to a Wide Angle Signal® Mirror installation?
Yes, these modules will enhance your Wide Angle Signal® Mirrors too!

I have heated mirrors. Will the Wide Angle Signal® Mirror still "bond" to the mirrors when the heaters are on?
Yes.

How are Wide Angle Signal® Mirrors mounted to my factory mirrors?
Wide Angle Signal® Mirrors are mounted to the factory mirrors using pressure sensitive adhesive.

I have power mirrors. Will the Wide Angle Signal® Mirror work?
Yes. When installed properly, there is no interference with the movement of the factory mirror.

I have manual mirrors. Will the Wide Angle Signal® Mirror work?
Yes. When installed properly, there is no interference with the movement of the factory mirror.

Are there any vibration issues with the additional weight of the Wide Angle Signal® Mirror on the factory mirror?
Not typically. The Wide Angle Signal® Mirror weighs less than 2 ounces.

Will Wide Angle Signal® Mirrors distract my attention from the road?
No. While surrounding drivers see a bright, attention-getting display, the driver of the vehicle equipped with Signal® Mirrors sees only a subtle telltale display - a reminder that the Signal® mirror is activated. How are the LEDs in the Wide Angle Signal® Mirror powered?
Wide Angle Signal® Mirrors are powered through the vehicle's turn signal wires via a discretely hidden wire harness.

Is it necessary to have the Wide Angle Signal® Mirror installed by a professional?
It is not absolutely necessary to have a professional install Signal® mirrors, only strongly recommended. Mechanically savvy consumers are capable of doing the job themselves. Most Signal Mirror® installations require removing the vehicle's door panels and plastic accessories. You can look at our Wide Angle Signal Mirror® installation instructions here to help you decide if you want to do the installation yourself.

I've read the instructions. Is it really necessary to cut the mirror glass?
If you have sufficient room between the mirror glass and housing to route the wire, then cutting the glass is optional. The instructions include cutting the mirror for instances where there is no other way to route the wiring. Caution: If mirror has EC or heated feature, then the mirror glass should not be cut.

How is the wiring configured for the Wide Angle Signal® Mirror?
Two discrete wires from each Wide Angle Signal® Mirror are routed and spliced into the vehicle's turn signal wires, typically found under the dash.

Are Wide Angle Signal® Mirrors street legal?
Yes.

What color are the LEDs in Wide Angle Signal® Mirrors?
The Wide Angle Signal Mirror® LEDs come in "red" or "amber".

What type of warranty comes with the Wide Angle Signal Mirror® kit?
The Wide Angle Signal® Mirror is warranted to be free from defects in materials and workmanship for a period of 3 years from date of sale to original purchaser. This warranty excludes labor, broken glass, or other situations that cause harm to the product after it has been shipped from the factory--such as damage, unreasonable use, modifications, or alterations. In the event of a defect, Muth reserves the right to evaluate the problem through Quality Control and at Muth's discretion, replace the defective product. Any warranty replacement part will be charged to the customer when shipped. Credit will be given when the defective part is returned to and received by Muth, and the replacement is warranted. If you are a credit card customer, credit will be issued to your account within five (5) business days. If you are a COD customer, a check will be written to you within five (5) business days. If you have an open account, a credit will be issued against your account. Warranty covers replacement cost of product only.

What is the return policy?
Obtain a Return Authorization Number within 30 days from the date of original invoice. Return Authorization Numbers are good for 30 days. No return will be allowed if the return request exceeds 30 days from date of invoice. Any product returned without a Return Authorization Number will be refused. All products returned in the original packing, in a new and unused condition-with all parts, labels and instructions included-will be credited the original invoice price less a 25% restocking fee. Any product returned in a used condition or with contents missing will not receive credit. Shipping charges on all returned merchandise must be prepaid. Credit will not be given on shipping and handling charges.
