Sheboygan, WI -- The Signal Mirror® Safety System, manufactured by Muth Mirror Systems, is now available for the Dodge Dakota and Durango with the 5 x 7 mirror style.  This innovative accessory helps a driver to ensure the safety of their family.  Previously only Dodge Dakota and Durango vehicles with the 6 x 9 mirror style could be retrofit with Signal® mirrors.

Signal® mirrors use high intensity lights to change ordinary exterior rearview mirrors into safety features that command attention.  When a turn signal is activated, a flashing chevron appears in the corresponding side mirror to alert drivers in the blind spot.  The mirrors function as regular rearview mirrors whether the turn signals are activated or not.  When hazard lights are used, both mirrors flash a warning chevron.

The 1997-1999 Dodge Dakota and the 1998-1999 Dodge Durango with the 5 x 7 mirror style can be retrofit with Signal Mirror® kit #200-0050-0.  Each retrofit kit contains one left and one right hand glass subassembly, a wiring kit, and installation instructions.  Professional installation is recommended.
