Muth Company, LLC holds the patents for Signal® Mirror, Blind Spot Detection Display (BSDD), Exterior Security Illumination (ESI) and multiple other through-the glass™ mirror technologies. It is a holding company focused on bringing affordable safety products to the automotive industry. Muth Company, LLC is the sole owner of Muth Mirror Systems, LLC.

Muth Mirror Systems, LLC has three divisions: OE, Aftermarket and Glass. To date, they have manufactured over eight million Signal® mirrors for the original equipment manufacturer (OEM) market and aftermarket. Two manufacturing facilities in Sheboygan, Wisconsin handle the production of the innovative mirrors.

High Tech Lane Facility

The High Tech Lane facility handles the high volume OEM production of Signal® mirrors and also serves as the headquarters for all research and development and engineering efforts. This facility is the corporate headquarters for the company.

North Avenue Facility

The North Avenue facility houses the manufacturing line for aftermarket Signal® mirrors. Muth has developed retrofit Signal Mirror® kits for over seventy vehicles and has a production line geared toward flexible changeover for the diverse requirements of producing mirrors specific to each different vehicle.

The North Avenue facility also serves as the home of the Glass Division of Muth. This division was created to provide high quality fabricated mirror glass to Muth Mirror Systems and other North American OE mirror manufacturers. The Glass Division allows Muth to be vertically integrated, which helps control costs and reduce scrap.

Bingham Farms Facility

An OE sales office in Bingham Farms, Michigan near Detroit assures that Muth Mirror Systems has personnel in the heart of the automotive world to address any OEM concerns.

Muth Mirror Systems is a member of SEMA (Specialty Equipment Market Association), WMC (Wisconsin Manufacturers & Commerce) and the Sheboygan County Chamber of Commerce. A number of employees are also members of SAE (Society of Automotive Engineers).

Solid History

Muth Company has a well-established history of developing products for the OEM and aftermarket automotive markets. The company was founded in 1947 by Kenneth Muth as the K.W. Muth Company, Inc. of Sheboygan, Wisconsin. It continues to be majority family held.

In 1992, Muth sold its $135 million manufacturing division that produced interior trim, custom vinyl acoustics, and vinyl truck flooring. Muth's current focus is to bring affordable safety technology and products to the global automotive OEM and aftermarkets.
