Position #1:
Position: Quality Manager
Department: Quality
Reports to: Director of Quality
Basic Function:
Oversee the quality functions of the organization as it pertains to manufacturing and assembly operations. Oversee critical quality processes assuring that Muth products consistently meet product manufacturing requirements. This position reports to the Director of Quality
Main Responsibilities:
- APQP – provide ops quality disposition at each launch gate review.
- Manage the design and development of Muth quality systems and maintain the database.
- Assist external regional manufacturing plants with their quality systems (China, Hungary)
- Works with customers and suppliers on 8D’s issued. Drive 8D completion and effective customer communication. Main customer contact within Muth for quality issues
- Define, implement and monitor measurement systems to ensure product and process capability (i.e. Rolled Throughput Yield)
- Direct continuous improvement activities within the quality group (i.e. Facilitate and participate in Kaizen, Value stream mapping, 5S).
- External PPM reduction
- Staff, train and develop quality personnel.
- Make site visits to customers and suppliers to analyze quality issues as deemed necessary.
- Supplier development and improvement.
- ISO System Management Representative
Desired Skills and Experience:
- B.S. with considerable exposure in APQP, Lean, and Statistics. Specific education, training and proficiency in quality disciplines including TS 16949, PPAP, FMEA, Control Plans, DOE, and SPC.
- CQM/ASQ, Shainin Journeyman, and/or Black Belt
- Knowledge of the AIAG quality planning and control plan standard.
- 5-7 years experience

2. Manage day to day progress of product.
3. Collaborate with a wide variety of functional areas such as sales, engineering, marketing, manufacturing, and operations to develop and provide product definitions responsive to customer needs and market opportunities.
4. Develops and maintains a prioritized list of customer and market requirements for product.
5. Provides financial and technical justification for product selection and definition.
6. Prepares product development objectives and schedules for all phases of product development and introduction to market.
7. Produces competitive analysis materials comparing product with its key competitors.
8. Maintains communications and contacts to collect and analyze technical, financial, schedule, and sales information for product line.

10. Manage and direct engineering resources to meet new product requirements and specifications per manufacturing and customer expectations.
11. Facilitate the company’s product development cycle, per project, with consideration of costs, time, functionality, and manufacturability.
12. Provide accurate and clear direction of project status and next steps to departmental resources.
13. Lead Engineering design reviews with internal/external customers to meet project requirements
14. Oversee test requirements, methods and validation as they relate to EE (Engineering Evaluation, DV (Design Validation), and PV (Process Validation).
15. Prepare DFMEA/PFMEA matrix
16. Direct, manage and mentor other personnel associated with the project.
