Muth Global Visions Wins Third Place in Advanced Manufacturing Category in Governor’s Business Plan Contest

Sheboygan, WI —  Muth Global Visions won third place in their category and was among the twenty-six entries that made it to the finalist round of the 2007 Governor’s Business Plan Contest. The contest had nearly 300 entrants statewide.

Muth’s entry, Muth Vision Assist, was submitted in the advanced manufacturing category and won third place. The Muth product is an automotive night vision system that discriminates between varying distances and depths of field in a vehicle’s path and assembles them into a single view that is optimized for current weather conditions for the driver. The system is being developed for safer driving and provides enhanced vision beyond the headlight high beam range in all weather conditions at night.

As part of their award, Muth received complimentary creation of an e-Plan, development of a web site, and $1,500 cash. The e-Plan will be developed by the Wisconsin Angel Network and will use rich media technology to help Muth, as an entrepreneur, provide information to potential investors. The e-Plan is loaded on the web site www.wisconsinangelnetwork.com and developed as a pocket size CD for the purpose of connecting active investors with companies currently seeking capital. The e-Plan contains a business plan, executive summary, and contact information. The new Muth web site will inform potential customers about this new Vision Assist technology so they can consider including it on vehicles.

The mission of the Governor’s Business Plan contest is to encourage entrepreneurs in the creation, startup, and early-growth stages of high-tech businesses in Wisconsin. Judges look for factors like innovation, relevant expertise, competitive advantages, and market opportunity.

“Bringing a new product to market in the ever-changing automotive industry is challenging, time consuming, and very costly. We are already engineering refinements to the Muth Vision Assist product so the e-Plan, web site, and cash will support our efforts as well as expose our message to an interested investor base as well as our potential future customers,” says Kristi Lawrence, Marketing Manager for the company.
