Signal® Mirrors in action!

Greenwald drives a Harley-Davidson motorcycle with Signal® mirrors while on patrol.  Eighteen Crown Victoria cars of the City of Sheboygan Police Department have also been retrofit with the mirrors.

For motorcycle use particularly Signal® mirrors help a rider get noticed in cluttered traffic that is being filled by larger size SUV’s.  However, even cars can benefit since a Signal® mirror is at the eye-level of surrounding motorists.

the past, now react to the illuminated mirrors and give me the space I need

to abruptly maneuver,” noted Greenwald.

Signal® mirrors feature high intensity lights in a chevron shape that are activated by a turn signal to alert drivers in the “blind spots.”  The Harley motorcycle Signal® mirrors also display amber forward face signals.  The mirrors appear as regular rearview mirrors whether the turn signals are activated or not.  When hazards are used, both mirrors display a flashing chevron.

Retrofit kits are available for over 70 specific vehicles and motorcycles.  Or Wide Angle Signal® Mirrors are offered to fit on virtually any vehicle.  The inclusion of the MultiFunction or Brake Module adds a variety of signals to the system.
