Sheboygan, WI — Muth Mirror Systems, LLC of Sheboygan, WI has introduced a Brake Module to enhance their Signal Mirror® Safety System. This module was developed in response to consumer demand.
A solid red chevron signal appears in both side mirrors when the brakes are activated with the addition of the Brake Module to Signal® mirrors. This signal is added to the system’s turn and hazard signals. A flashing signal appears in the corresponding mirror when a turn signal is activated. Flashing chevrons appear in both mirrors when the hazard lights are on. All of the signals alert drivers in the “blind spots” around and behind the vehicle of a driver’s intentions.
If a turn signal is being used at the same time as the brakes, a flashing chevron appears only in the corresponding side mirror and the “steady on” brake signal appears in the opposite mirror.
Signal® mirrors operate as regular rearview mirrors whether the turn signals, hazards lights or brakes are activated or not.
The Brake Module can be added to an already installed Signal Mirror® Safety System or can be included on a new installation. The module is not vehicle specific and can be ordered using Kit #200-0117-0. Professional installation is recommended.
“Signal® mirrors have become a product vehicle owners are very interested in,” says Kristi Lawrence, Marketing Manager of Muth Mirror Systems. ”The Brake Module allows users to enhance their system for a minimal investment.”
